About Moathaq

The UAE has many capable consultants, technicians and employers, and also companies that are not licensed for the work they offer. A new business owner looking for a PRO service, a family looking for an AC technician and a job seeker looking for a real vacancy all face the same problem: the listings look the same, and the only way to tell them apart is to check a trade licence by hand.

Checking takes time on government websites. We decided to do that work once, properly, and show the result next to the listing.

That is the whole idea. If a business shows a Verified or Trusted badge, a person on our team matched its trade licence against the issuing authority's register. A Listed badge means we have received its documents and have not matched them yet. A listing with no badge has not been checked by us, and the page says so.

The team is based in Dubai. Verification is done by people, not by a script, and every guide on the site carries its author byline and the date it was last reviewed. You can read more about how we work on the methodology and editorial policy pages.

A directory earns trust through the things it will not do, even when a customer offers to pay for them.

• We do not sell badges. A business cannot buy Verified or Trusted at any price.
• We do not remove a negative review at a business's request. Businesses can reply publicly, and that is all.
• We do not publish articles written by the businesses we list.
• We do not charge job seekers, and we do not accept employers who do.
• We do not mix paid and organic results. Sponsored positions carry a visible label and sit outside the organic ranking.
• We do not take a commission on the work a business wins through us.

Moathaq is free for customers and job seekers. Businesses pay for optional subscription plans (Free, Starter, Growth and Pro), for labelled sponsored placement charged per click, and for extra or featured job posts. The ranking formula is public, and a plan never changes a business's organic position. Sponsored positions are labelled "Sponsored". You can read the details on the business page.
