Review and ranking policy

Only a person who sent an enquiry to a business through Moathaq can review it, once per enquiry, from 48 hours after the enquiry. A review shows that the reviewer contacted the business through Moathaq. It does not prove that they bought the service.

We never remove a review because it is negative. We remove reviews that are fraudulent, abusive, off-topic or written by the business or its competitors. A business can flag a review once for a human check, and can reply publicly. Reviews are checked by our team before they appear.

Businesses may not ask only satisfied customers to review (review gating), offer incentives for reviews, or buy reviews. Fake or paid reviews break our rules and may break UAE consumer protection and cybercrime laws. We remove them, and we suspend the business.

Positions 1 to 3 may be sponsored and are labelled "Sponsored". Other positions are ordered by a published formula: 40% rating (weighted so that a few reviews do not outrank many), 25% responsiveness, 15% completed leads, 10% profile completeness and 10% review recency, with a verification multiplier. Ties within 5% are reshuffled weekly. A plan or a bid does not change the organic position. See the ranking factors.
