These terms apply to everyone who uses moathaq.com, including customers, job seekers, businesses and employers. Customers and job seekers use Moathaq free of charge.

Moathaq is a directory of businesses and a job advertising platform. We are not a party to any contract between a customer and a business, or between a candidate and an employer. We are not a recruitment agency, we do not process work permits or visas, and we do not handle payments for services.

A badge describes what we checked on the day we checked it. Verified means a person on our team matched the business's trade licence on the issuing authority's register. Trusted adds time on the platform, reviews, response rate and no unresolved complaints. Listed means we received documents and have not matched the licence. A listing with no badge has not been checked by us. A badge is not a guarantee of the quality, price or timing of any business's work, and Moathaq does not guarantee any business's work. You agree not to:

• give false or misleading information, or pretend to be another person or business;
• post fake, paid, incentivised or retaliatory reviews, or ask only satisfied customers to review;
• use Moathaq to harass anyone, to send spam, or to collect money or personal data under false pretenses;
• copy the site in bulk with automated tools, or interfere with its security or operation;
• upload anything that is unlawful, infringes someone's rights or that you do not have the right to share.

You are responsible for keeping your account password safe. We may suspend or remove content or accounts that break these terms.

A business must hold a valid UAE trade licence for the activities it lists and must keep it current. Listing content must be accurate, and you must be authorised to claim the business you register. If the register stops matching your licence, we remove the badge. Content you submit stays yours, and you give Moathaq a non-exclusive right to display it on the site.

Some listings are created from public licence records. They are marked as unclaimed, carry no badge and have not been checked by us.

Plans (Free, Starter, Growth and Pro) are priced in AED per month, plus 5% VAT, and are billed on the website, not through app stores. Online payment is coming soon: until it opens, no plan is activated or charged. New businesses may receive a free trial of Growth features.

When you cancel a paid plan, it stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and is not renewed. We do not refund a period that has already started, unless the law requires it or we fail to provide the paid service. To ask for a refund, contact us using the details on the contact page.

Positions 1 to 3 in a category may be sponsored. Only Verified or Trusted businesses may bid. Each business sets a maximum cost per click and a daily budget; the price paid is set by a second-price auction adjusted by a quality score, and never falls below the category minimum. We may exclude clicks that we identify as automated or invalid. Sponsored results are always labelled "Sponsored". A bid or a plan does not change a business's badge or its organic ranking. Only Verified businesses can post jobs, and only for their own vacancies. Recruitment agencies and manpower supply companies are not accepted. A job post must:

• show accurate information about the role, the pay and the place of work;
• not charge candidates any fee. The employer pays recruitment and visa costs;
• not discriminate on race, colour, sex, religion, national or social origin or disability, or state a preference by gender, nationality or religion unless a legal requirement applies;
• not ask candidates to work on a visit visa.

Job posts are reviewed before they go live and expire after 30 days. We remove posts that break these rules.

Only people who sent an enquiry to a business through Moathaq can review it. This does not prove that they bought the service. We do not remove a review because it is negative. See the review and ranking policy.

Moathaq is provided "as is". We work to keep information accurate, but we cannot promise that every listing, price, review or job post is complete or current. Dealings with a business or an employer are between you and them, and we are not responsible for their work, prices, delays or conduct.

To the extent UAE law allows, Moathaq is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid to Moathaq in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UAE law.

We may suspend or remove a listing, a job post, a review or an account that breaks these terms or that we believe is fraudulent. You can close your account at any time by contacting us.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction, without affecting any right you have under UAE consumer protection law.

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows the last update. If you keep using Moathaq after a change, the new terms apply.
