How ranking works (positions 4 to 10)
The factors and weights are public, so nobody has a reason to guess. A plan never changes your organic position.
- 40% rating, Bayesian-weighted so 2 five-star reviews do not beat 60 reviews at 4.7. Your Google rating counts only after you connect your Google Business Profile.
- 25% response rate and speed to enquiries.
- 15% leads marked completed by customers.
- 10% profile completeness, 10% review recency.
- Verified businesses rank above unverified ones of similar quality through a verification multiplier. Ties within 5% are reshuffled weekly so good newcomers surface.
- Penalties: fake reviews, unresolved complaints over 7 days, expired licence.
Verification levels
A badge is earned by checks and results, never bought.
- Listed: documents received (trade licence + owner Emirates ID), licence number entered. Phone confirmation by WhatsApp code is coming soon. Licence not yet matched on the authority register.
- Verified: Listed + licence number matched on the authority register + activity covers the category + Google Business Profile ownership proven via Google sign-in.
- Trusted: Verified + 90 days + 10 reviews + 80% response rate + no unresolved complaints.
Sponsored positions 1 to 3
Only Verified or Trusted businesses can bid. You set a maximum cost per click and a daily budget. You pay just above the next-highest bid, adjusted for your quality score (rating and response rate). Every sponsored result is labelled "Sponsored", and a bid never changes a badge or the organic ranking.
Sponsored results never appear in the organic ranking, are excluded from structured data, and always carry a visible "Sponsored" label.
