Carpentry in Al Rashidiya (Ajman), Ajman
2 businesses listed, 0 Verified or Trusted. Sponsored results are labelled; positions 4+ are ranked by rating, response rate and completed jobs, reshuffled weekly.
Carpentry in the UAE has to cope with humidity outside and air conditioning inside, which is why the board matters as much as the design. Moisture-resistant boards, edge sealing and good hardware keep a wardrobe or kitchen straight for years.
What a proper service includes
Ask which board the workshop uses, which hardware brand it fits and whether the work is made in a workshop and installed, or built on site.
A workshop that shows finished work in a villa or flat you can visit tells you more than photographs, and a written drawing prevents arguments about what was agreed.
What it costs in 2026
- Custom wardrobe: AED 1,200 to 3,500 per linear metre
- Kitchen cabinets: AED 1,800 to 4,500 per linear metre
- Interior door, supplied and fitted: AED 700 to 2,500
These are typical Dubai prices; in the other emirates prices are often similar or somewhat lower.
Allow 3 to 6 weeks for custom joinery.
Before you pay
Approve a drawing with dimensions in writing before cutting starts, and pay a deposit of 30 to 50 percent with the balance on installation. Check that the workshop's licence covers carpentry or joinery and that your building allows installation hours and lift use.
Check the badge first, then read the reviews and the response rate. Ask for a written quote that names the company on the licence, and pay only to an account in that company's name. See typical prices in our price guide.

Frequently asked questions
What licence should a carpentry workshop have?
A trade licence (DET in Dubai, ADDED in Abu Dhabi, SEDD in Sharjah) with a carpentry, joinery or furniture manufacturing activity. Workshops in industrial areas such as Al Quoz or Ras Al Khor in Dubai should show their licence and a site address. Check the number on the issuing register before paying the deposit.
How much does a custom wardrobe cost in the UAE?
Typically AED 1,200 to 3,500 per linear metre in 2026, depending on board, finish and hardware. Lacquer, veneer and soft-close fittings add 20 to 40 percent. A TV unit runs AED 1,500 to 6,000 and fitted shelving AED 400 to 1,200 per metre. These are typical Dubai prices; in the other emirates prices are often similar or somewhat lower.
What are the red flags with carpenters?
Be careful with a workshop that quotes without measuring, will not show past work, changes the board grade after the deposit or asks for full payment before delivery. Ask for the board type in writing, since swapping to a cheaper one is the usual shortcut.
How long does custom joinery take?
Allow 3 to 6 weeks from drawing approval to installation, longer for imported veneers or hardware. Rush orders cost more. Confirm the installation date, the building's working hours and any lift booking in advance. A workshop that cannot give a date in writing is not planning the job. Photograph the delivery on arrival.
